How do I start a game?
Enter your name on the home screen and click "Create Game". Share the Game ID with your friends — they enter their name and the ID to join. Once everyone is in, the host clicks "Start Game".
How many players do you need?
The game works best with 3 or more players. With only 2 players the imposter mechanic is too easy to figure out.
What is the imposter?
Each round, one random player secretly receives a different question from everyone else. They are the imposter. Their question is designed to be indistinguishable in tone from the real one, so nobody can tell who got a different question just by looking.
How does voting work?
In the first phase, everyone votes for who they think the question describes. In the second phase, everyone guesses who they think had the fake question. Both phases are separate.
How are points scored?
If the majority of players correctly identify the imposter, each correct guesser earns 1 point and the imposter earns nothing. If the majority fails to identify the imposter, the imposter earns 1 point for each wrong guess.
Can the imposter vote?
Yes — the imposter votes in both phases just like everyone else. They can try to blend in by voting strategically.
What happens if the game goes inactive?
Games are automatically deleted after 1 hour of inactivity. If this happens you will be returned to the home screen.
Where do the questions come from?
Questions are generated in real time using AI (via the Groq API). Each question pair is checked for similarity to previous ones to keep things fresh. If the AI is unavailable, the game falls back to a built-in question pool.
